Here at Astronlogia.com, we follow the Chaldean System of Numerology, but there have been many queries from visitors asking the prime difference in Chaldean and Pythagorean Numerology systems. This question has been raised several time by several people hence I decided to clear the doubts.
Before reading this post, I’d assume that you have already gone through this post Chaldean Numerology, as it’s about the origin of the Chaldean system.
A distinct difference between Chaldean and Pythagorean Numerology is its area of application. The Pythagorean Numerology system was formed for the main objective of analyzing the patterns of cosmos, earth’s environmental pattern and its constant evolution due the influences of external energy fields of planets in our solar system. Pythagoras formed the mathematical principles and further number theories in order to mathematically correlate the subtle changes in earth’s environment as well as its relationship with the universe.
Pythagoras was never interested in natal numerology (Numerology for individual beings) hence all his works were macro-cosmic oriented and not microcosm (human being), thus his presentation of numbers and their influences in Pythagorean system of numerology will not work effectively for individual beings and life forms in earth. Whereas, the pristine and original form Chaldean Numerology was primarily used to address the influences of external sources in living beings, and the subsequent change of patterns in their life. Chaldean system thus predominantly focuses on natal numerology than cosmic numerology of Pythagoras.
If one wants to analyze the changes in environment and outside human body and mind, then Pythagorean system would be useful, whereas to analyze about microcosm and its daily patterns Chaldean numerology is the ideal solution.

When you say Pythagorean Numerology would be useful to analyze changes in environment and outside human body and mind then it would be useful. What do you mean by this? Do you mean that Pythagorean numerology is accurate if you use it to calculate pinnacle, life period, and essence cycles? Please give me examples as I always wondered about the differences between Chaldean and Pythagorean.
