Chakras are the centers of the body that energy flow through. When our chakras are blocked they can make us ill and unable to function at our best. The word ‘chakra’ comes from the sanskrit word for wheel and the chakras are often seen as wheels turning, which allows energy to move through the body. There are seven major chakras, each with a specific location and unique attribute. Keeping your chakras balanced is important. Just as having a closed chakra can make you ill, having your chakra’s open all the time will leave you vulnerable which is just as unhealthy.

HISTORY

Chakras have more recently become well known, mostly thanks to yoga. With yoga gaining in popularity, so too have chakras. There is a complete and ancient energy system that originated in India. This is mentioned first in Vedas, which are ancient sacred texts of spiritual knowledge dating from 1500 to 1000 BC, possibly even as early as 500 BC. The earliest Sanskrit and literary records are the most ancient scriptures of Hinduism. As mentioned, the Chakra is a wheel and refers to energy points in body. They are spinning discs of energy that should stay ‘open’ and aligned. Each chakra corresponds to nerves, major organs, and areas of the energetic body that affect and influence emotional and physical well-being. Some say there are 114 different chakras but there are 7 main that run along spine. Each has a number, name, color, a specific area of spine from sacrum to crown of the head, and a health focus.
As chakras are all energetic centers of the body that correspond to feelings, one of them probably will resonate with you as you read. Different ones may resonate with you tomorrow. Likely one resonates with you more than any others as a continuous problem, a chakra where you often deal with blockages. Other blockages may pop up every now and then as well. In the chakra system, these patterns have specific terms and there are recommended treatments.
Chakras can just be out of balance versus blocked. This means there can be a depletion of energy flow or too much energetic activity in a chakra. This will manifest into different outcomes. If a chakra is low in energy, that means there will be difficulty in expressing particular qualities associated with that chakra. When a chakra is overactive it means those qualities are a dominant force in person’s life. This can have both physical and emotional effects. An example is the first chakra, which is security, survival, and foundation of our life. When it is underactive, this results in depression and insecurity. When there is too much, the person has s fearlessness without precaution. Psychologically imbalanced chakras may cause emotional imbalance. This could lead to increased anger, sadness, fear, or indecisiveness. Pay attention to both psychological and physiological sensations because they can inform each other and uncover the root cause of experience. Too much stress physically or mentally may cause one or more chakras to be out of balance. Other personal habits such as poor physical alignment or posture, eating unhealthy food, or self destructive behavior may cause the chakra to be imbalanced. Prolonged imbalance may lead to physical disease and illness, musculoskeletal issues and mental health challenges like depression or anxiety. We can create alignment in physical body through yoga, breathing practices to encourage flow of energy, and meditation to bring about clarity of mind. Each chakra has yoga poses that may help fine tune its energy. When all chakras are open, energy can run through them freely and harmony exists between physical body, mind and spirit. Within chakras, the prana or ultimate pure healing energy that is all around and within us keeps us healthy, happy, and vibrant. While there is not much scientific evidence to support physical manifestations of spiritual energy, mediation, reiki, or yoga study the 7 chakras and chakra alignment. The stronger the belief, the more the energy can free flow constantly.

Since Chakra’s hold the body’s energy (prana), actions keep in balance. Prana informs us and influences actions and behaviors, determining health, career opportunities, relationships and more. The spinning vortex of energy, not seen but felt and sensed. It’s the vital life force that keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive. They store the energy of our thoughts, feelings, memories, experiences, and actions. This influences and direct our present and future mindset, behavior, emotional health and actions. The life force in each chakra can be processed, transmuted, and released so we can consciously manifest what we want to call in, rather than experience more of. Chakra healing is intentional practice of connecting with our stored energy, so we may understand how our past is influencing the present and the future.
Subtle body changes depicts how our inner reality creates outer reality. Each holds beliefs, emotions, and memories related to specific areas of life. Lower related to earthly matters such as survival, sex, and power. The top 3 are related to higher consciousness, truth, intuition, and purpose. The middle are where the heart bridges the two worlds with empathy, love, and compassion.

The main chakras are swirling wheels of energy that correspond to massive nerve centers in our body. Each of the seven contain bundles of nerves and minor organs, as well as our psychological, emotional, and spiritual states of being. When everything is moving, we need the 7 main to stay open, aligned, and fluid. When there is a blockage, the energy flows are restricted. The mind, body, soul , and spirit are intimately connected, awareness of an imbalance in one area through chakra meditation will bring others back. To connect and really experience chakras, its best to center with our consciousness in mediation, visualization, yoga, crystal healing, sound healing, acupuncture or variety of different ways. This allows you to feel sensations in their bodies or mental and emotional shifts that correlate with chakras. As we feel, sense, or see the energy flow may feel underactive or overactive. This means we feel deficient and contracted, or expansive and healthy. Healthy will include chakras that are bright in color, balanced in size, and flowing at healthy speed. When aligned, we have an awareness to which his out of balance. The key to aligning, with the constant flux between balance and imbalance, is to understand the signals and clues. This energy center also houses our mental and emotional state of mind. Chakra mind body balance is a two way street. The fears and emotions we are holding onto result in experiencing physical restrictions. Aches or stiffness, certain reoccurring emotions and fears, these can all be manifestations. Read along and may find out which chakra is affected or blocked.

The best advice is to build ground up; you can heal by starting with root chakra. Then you can explore ideas related to safety, nourishment, belonging, finances and family. From there, you can then move up.
The health of the lower three is crucial to health of upper; without the sense of grounding, stability and safety, it may feel jarring to open up to 3rd eye or crown. This system offers map to help see correlation between anatomy, mindset, emotions, and energy. This illuminates the mind and body connection, in an accessible and practical way. This roadmap reminds what holistic beings need to be healthy and happy. It also reminds us of our infinite potential, we can be grounded yet flexible, passionate yet disciplined, and expressive yet compassionate.

All of this connects directly to relationships as well. Within relationships we exchange energy; when we understand what we give and receive, our roles are clearer. Miscommunications come with a wrong understanding of what we give and what we receive in a relationship. Spiritual relationships are about growth and helping each other to evolve on Earth. This means we each have to work on and open our own potential. Then through each other’s force and support we can reach the highest purpose and dreams we want to achieve on earth. When we live on energies that are natural for us we experience harmony. That brings balance, which connects with who you are, what we are here to do, and the happiness we are meant to have.

Chakras aren’t some intangible etheric nonsense, they are grounded within the body itself. They are related to the nerve plexus; the electromagnetic radiance of that nerve plexus is why there is a relationship with color and sound for chakras. These relate to the broad spectrum of human facilities. They are our way to feel, interpret, and radiate experience as a human being. We can feel uncomfortable with vibrations from people. We can also feel energized, relaxed, repelled; as well as give off vibrations ourselves. This is how we have particular feelings evoked, chemistry and alchemy of what happens when two fields engage. As we engage with and become more individual self, a third dynamic is born. People can literally rub off or get on nerves. How long we get along with someone very much depends on how many of chakras are in harmony with them. The excitation in our 1st and 2nd chakras relates to sexual desire but we might see the world differently. The heart is love and warmth. When it comes to our throat we could struggle to communicate. Agitation results in feeling closed, irritated, and repelled. When we are positively stimulated we have a sense of feeling secure, flowing in sexual expression. In our sacral, we would have a sense of feeling physically connected and intimately relaxed and close. With the solar plexus chakra we get a sense of being able to express yourself, be respected and have equal and appropriate use of power in relationship. The heart gives a sense of love and compassion. The throat is a sense of ability to communicate fluidly and truthfully. The third eye is sense of accurate perception and intuition with each other. The crown is a sense of connection to greater whole. As each couple connects, they reach new levels. A root chakra couple, for example, has sexual energy but they use their selfishness to protect their needs and use their ego to protect emotions. Their goal is sex and they are motivated by enjoyment of each other.
Let’s review the seven chakras; a key factor in living your life to the fullest through the teachings of living your life in the new age.

The Seven Major Chakras

It translates to ‘dwelling place of self.’ The energy is feminine, passive, and lunar. Though not limited to making babies, this chakra is certainly expressed as procreation. Additionally, this chakra likes to cook, bake, garden; anything that creates. This means they are good at finding new solutions to old problems.

Chakra: Solar Plexus or Manipura, Solar plexus: houses your sense of self individuality, integrity, will power and productivity. This is where we decide what information to assimilate and what to eliminate. Over time the long standing thought pattersn that shut down ability to imagine whats possible. As the chakra of personal power related to self esteem and confidence, when blocked a person can feel overwhelming amounts of shame and self doubt. People will feel dysfunctional, insecure, unworthy and physically blocked. Its rooted early in life and as it does, we develop an inner critic to protect ourselves. Our critical voice is loudest when at most vulnerable or on brink of major growth and expansion. Any emotional wounding we experience as chakra forms lays foundation of even more self critical thoughts and limiting beliefs about ourselves and self worth. We suffer low self esteem, difficulty making decisions, anger or control issues, and struggle with self doubt.
If open: Open: free to express true selves. Opening this chakra means we open up to information we were unaware of, things we don’t know we don’t know. He believes in himself when woman gives him enough love and support and acts according to this belief. Woman receives protection and support is taken off responsibility from shoulders and the man is ready to help. Actions make a man happier and stronger, fulfilled when act. This is the power center of our energy chakras; connected to ambitions and goals. Think wordly material pleasures, search for fame, prestige and power. The masculine nature encourages people under its influence to find place in society. To achieve, must work very hard on selves in order to overcome high expectations of future. This will cultivate unselfishness and submissions in order to access ability of changing character. Without this mindset we will never be able to change who are. This couple can create a family together and work hard together to attain goals. They remain focused, achieve power and fame wished for. However, once achieve, the conflicts personally begin. The couple is proud, not possible without, but the produces underlying resentment in family. They want power, prestige and family, to be respected in society. They usually meet at special invitation parties, elite societies and meetings, sports clubs, and political events. Their motivation is their competitive nature, as they want to be better than the ones around them and be leaders of friends. They tend to be arrogant by nature, Engage self development but darker aspect as there is no humility. Rather this couple learns to control others. A person becomes more and more powerful, so their pride, intolerance, and anger grow. They need to stop interfering with each other when don’t achieve goal, otherwise the partner eventually becomes disappointed by everything. Ultimately, only interest in appearance keeps them together. They must realize more important things than fame.

The heart center is the middle of 7 and upper of spirit chakras; spiritual but serves as a bridge between our body, mind, emotions and spirit; source of love and connection. As the middle of 7 chakras, it bridges the gap between our upper and lower chakras and it also represents our ability to love and connect others. When out of alignment, this can make us feel lonely, insecure, and isolated. We will have difficulty fully opening up to people in life.
To unblock: not enough to love others, need to cultivate bold self love, otherwise will die of heartbreak because don’t know how to love ourselves. Our mental health is affected by a variety of biological, social, and environmental factors. Our spiritual well being is integral to all. Crown chakra contains spiritual insights needed to heal this crisis of disconnection, it is the gateway to celestial world. Connected to the pineal gland, our brain is affected by sun and connects rhythms of human body to rhythms of universe. This is the spiritual awareness that we are connected to something bigger than ourselves. Once we understand we are all pieces of the same whole, our connection can never be loss. Sometimes personal misfortune or failure is integral sacrifice for well being of whole. Its no accident every human has unique genetic makeup; the purpose of uniqueness is not to disconnect from whole but to help serve whole. We share same purpose, service, simply by being ourselves. What we should do is go through 7 levels of deep commitment in any intimate relationship we have with each level corresponding to 1 of 7 chakras. If not all are harmonized, we’ll end up unfulfilled and relationship won’t work in long run. Put in work at each level to invite deeper more lasting and fulfilling relationships. Many search for perfect partners, looking outside ourselves for the other to complete us, understand, and make us whole. We move on to the next and keep trying to find next partner. We must break pattern, turn focus inward. Stop chasing perfect partner and become perfect partners for ourselves. Energetic commitment of this nature will transform us all into better versions of ourselves, let self embrace relationships, when we do enter them, with deeper love and meaning than before.
