Connecting the cards of a tarot deck to the astrological signs of the zodiac used to create a horoscope isn’t something that, at first glance, seems like it would provide any sort of benefit. However, the Major Arcana of the tarot cards have strong correlations to the signs. Likewise, the minor arcana can express more information about relationships and what to expect during the height of your sign as you work through your decans. The use of tarot when exploring the zodiac horoscope can add elements of insight that you would otherwise miss.

Virgo Tarot Horoscope

Strong, stable, and unshakable, Virgo is an earth sign along with Taurus and Capricorn. The sign known for being a little obsessive-compulsive, the one everyone accuses of being a stick in the mud is simply practical and realistic. All the earth signs have to fight against the desire to simply be stubborn for the sake of stubbornness. There is much more to learn by bending in the breeze.

The Major Arcana associated with Virgo is the Hermit. The Hermit is an interesting connection for Virgo; it is a card of intuition and connecting with the inner self. Many would consider it to be a card more suited for a water sign, and yet it is the steady Virgo paired with him. The Hermit supports the Virgo in their regular need to be alone in order to center themselves and remain authentic. He speaks to the need to disconnect from the world so that the Virgo isn’t overwhelmed by the needs and wants of everyone around them.

The minor arcana that work with Virgo Tarot are:

Queen of Swords – This card embodies the male energy of the Virgo and that makes sense as the Queen of Swords is often seen as the most masculine of the Queens. She often comes across as unemotional but that’s just because she refuses to rely on emotion alone to make decisions. She knows the value of keeping offering compassion while assessing the honest truth. She encourages the Virgo to be independent and unbiased; lean away from emotion and instead focus on facts.

Knight of Pentacles – The Knight of Pentacles is an encouragement to stick to your routines because they get things done. However, be wary that this sense of duty and control doesn’t fall into the dark side of Virgo and make you an unbearable perfectionist. Your ability to stick to things and see something through to the end is wonderful, but be able to accept that sometimes things just don’t go as planned.

1st Decan: Eight of Pentacles – During this first decan you have encouragement from the cards to focus on what you need to do and get things done. Whatever the tasks are that are before you need all your attention and you shouldn’t be afraid to ask for help if things start to overwhelm you. Don’t lose your balance just because life is demanding a lot out of you right now.

2nd Decan: Nine of Pentacles – After all your hard work, the nine of pentacles is happy to tell you that you may now rest and enjoy all the security and freedom that your hard work has provided. You can look back at the rocky path that brought you here and take a moment to be proud of yourself. Admire your hard work, you’ve earned it. It also comes with a warning, however, to remain graceful and diplomatic so that you don’t have to spend this time alone and lonely.

3rd Decan: Ten of Pentacles – This last decan is a decan of peaceful endings. You have come home, your journey is finished and you can at last enjoy the fruits of your labor with those you love from the safety and comfort of your home and the embrace of your loved ones.
