Chaldean Numerology has its origin in Babylonia. The Babylonians, Assyrians, are widely considered to be practicing Chaldean numerology. It is well known that Babylonians had an excellent math system. The invention of numbers and their mastery over astral system led to the birth of Chaldean Numerology.
Unlike Pythagorean System, Chaldean System has a total of 108 numbers. The number 108 has a paramount significance, it is the spiritual symbol of infinity. The number 108 values 9, any number added to 9 will retain its original value, and any number multiplied by 9 will result in a multiple of 9. Thus number 9 was considered was a divine number and a number of infinity. In Chaldean Numerology, every number series has 12 compound numbers. Number 1 has 1,10,19,28,37,46,55,64,73,82,91, and 100. All these numbers belong to Number 1 in numerology
Most westerners follow Pythagorean numerology, even numerologist cheiro suggested Pythagorean numerology for the world. But only very few know that the Chaldean numerology is more accurate than Pythagorean. Pythagorean mathematics were greatly derived from the Babylonians after Alexander the great conquered them.
There is even an esoteric school in Babylonia, where Pythagoras learned the astral behavior of numbers. From there he derived his own style of numerology. As far as the accuracy is concerned, Chaldean Numerology is the most accurate. The only reason people don’t practice is because it was kept secret for many centuries, and only recently people came to know about the value system. Once Chaldean numerology is understood, one can easily do wonders with numerology.

Chaldean numerology is often referred as the most accurate numerology and yet not many numerologists actually use it! It is one of the three types of numerology, the most common of which is Pythagorean numerology. These forms of numerology focus less on the Life Path number and more on your Destiny or Expression number which is based on the letters of your name.
With the focus of this type of Numerology being on your Destiny or Expression number, it is important to note the distinctions between Pythagorean and Chaldean numerology. Pythagorean numerology calls for this number to be reduced to single digits except where one of the master numbers, 11, 22, or 33, is present. It is also based on your full name. Chaldean numerology, however, while it too calls for your name to be reduced to single digits, it also wants you to take note of any double digits. Chaldean also wants to use the name you use every day, so if you have a nickname then you’ll want to use that to figure out your Expression or Destiny number rather than your full name. Furthermore, while Pythagorean numerology determines your numbers through an alphabet chart that goes up to the number nine, Chaldean only goes to the number eight as the number nine was considered a holy number and is only included if your numbers add up to a nine.
One of the reasons Chaldean numerology is so rarely used is that it is more complex and difficult to pick up. And part of the reason it is so difficult to understand is because it uses more than numbers to divine your path, it also uses the vibrations of your numbers with one another. This is why you use not only your 1-9 numbers but also the double digits. The numbers one through nine are your external numbers. They express the physical and material of your life. But the numbers ten through fifty-two are spiritual and that is why Chaldean numerology includes them in your divination.
Many of the double digit numbers in Chaldean numerology repeat their meanings, for example if you have a 44 in your name, then you would look at the definition for the number 26: A grave warning of the future, foreshadowing ruin brought about by others in your life either by speculation, unions or poor advice. It is a warning to carefully consider your friends and relationships.
Chaldean numerology has been around longer than any form of numerology and this is one of the reasons it is believed to be the most accurate form of numerology. In Babylonian times the numbers were given in symbols, many of which can still be found on tarot cards today. Their origins have been lost, and all we have are the images and the long-standing interpretation of them and their relationships to the numbers.
While some people feel that Chaldean numerology is the only way to determine your Expression or Destiny numbers, other feel that both Chaldean and Pythagorean numerology are both important and should be performed together. The Pythagorean is viewed as the outer layer, while the Chaldean is a deeper and more spiritual reading.
